Hand-painted ceramic tableware
To design this tableware collection, Caroline went to meet Jaipur artisans who have mastered the art of making "blue pottery", a widely recognized craft. The distinctive blue pigment used to color the ceramics gave them their name. This ceramic collection is entirely hand-painted.
Caroline has revisited traditional Indian designs, combining floral decoration with geometric lines, stripes or ribbons in contrasting colors.
She has also created a bridge between blue pottery and block-printed textiles, imagining a sculpted block-printed design that would appear to be stamped onto the ceramic. A feat of craftsmanship that would not have been possible without the exceptional know-how of these Indian artisans.
A colorful collection, a tribute to traditional craftsmanship and natural materials, an invitation to travel!
