A collection of handcrafted table linens
Of course, India is full of floral prints, each more beautiful than the last. Of course, Caroline was drawn to these prints and colors as soon as she first set foot in India. And yet, she didn't want her table linen collections, or any of them, to be a literal translation of Indian style. What amuses her, what drives her, is to give her own vision, her own reinterpretation of the wonderful skills she discovered in India. Floral motifs rub shoulders with checkerboard patterns in a nod to Parisian bistro tablecloths, or are stamped with a frame characteristic of the walls of Jaipur's old town ... always that touch, that twist so unique to Caroline, which gives these textiles a real singularity and a special refinement.
These natural cotton items are printed using traditional block-printing techniques, with hand-carved wooden stamps dipped in vegetable-based inks and applied to the fabric in several layers with breathtaking mastery. Print irregularities and color nuances are visible, reflecting the beauty of this traditional craft.
